O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you... [for] a limited number of days.
Qur’an, 2:183–184 ]

The limited number of days here refers not to Ramadan, but to the Day of ‘Ashura and the Day of ‘Arafah. The blessing of fasting just these two days alone is so great that they count as three years worth of forgiveness. How does that math work? Check out the video below for an explanation.

Daily hadith
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“We used to salt some of the meat of sacrifice and present it to the Prophet ﷺ at Medina. Once he said,
The best dua is the dua on the Day of ‘Arafah, and the statement which I and the other prophets have uttered on the Day of ‘Arafah is There is none worthy of worship but God alone; He has no partner and to Him alone belongs supreme authority and praise, and He has power over all.”

Daily dhikr
What better form of remembrance is there to recite than the one cited by the Prophet ﷺ himself?

There is none worthy of worship but God alone; He has no partner and to Him alone belongs supreme authority and praise, and He has power over all.

Daily fun fact
The Prophet ﷺ and his companions did not always fast the days of Ramadan while they were traveling, but they always fasted the Day of ‘Arafah, even while traveling.
